Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying. Apply a thin layer to affected areas 1–3 times daily — start with once daily and gradually increase as tolerated, since excessive drying can occur. Avoid contact with eyes, lips, mouth, hair, and dyed fabrics. Apply sunscreen if going outside. New users should patch test on one or two small areas for the first 3 days before full use.
